The mission of the Nestlé Nutrition Institute Enteral Nutrition Fellowship is to foster knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for enteral nutrition therapy in the primary care of the acute and chronically ill patient. |
|
This exclusive program will train the medical or surgical subspecialty fellow to become a physician leader in specialized medical nutrition. In this role, the physician will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of clinical nutrition and influence the development of other healthcare practitioners, with the potential to improve patient outcomes.
A unique educational experience
- Clinical Training: In a four week clinical rotation hosted by program faculty, participants spend two weeks on site with each of two faculty members. This one-on-one mentoring opportunity provides intense immersion into the science and practice of specialized nutrition support.
- Publication: Working with their faculty mentors, participants will select a primary nutrition topic that will be developed into a clinical review paper and submitted for publication.
- Professional Association: Participants are eligible to attend and participate in the A.S.P.E.N. Clinical Nutrition Week (February 2011, Las Vegas, NV).
- International Association:
Opportunities may be available to participate in an international nutrition congress such as the Nestlé Clinical Nutrition Course or the European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.

The Nestlé Nutrition Institute Fellowship Program is recognized as fostering quality physician training and development while advancing safe and efficacious patient care. It is endorsed by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) and the AGA Institute.
